Fruiticana

This was in the section where the herbs and spices are (not where the candies were). I think it's pretty funny how it says "Santra Candy" in English, and then "Santhra Goli" in Punjabi.

sick day
Last night, someone I know was contemplating calling work and saying he/she was sick and couldn't make it in. This person really wasn't sick, but was reluctant to go to work because of the drive. You see, after watching the weather channel this person thought the roads might be slippery, and as this person is very cautious he/she thought it would be better to just take the day off. Well, he/she did go to work, and at work this person was pulled aside and his/her manager told him/her they were receiving an award for the fewest sick days taken. How funny would it have been if they called this person up to accept their award, and then someone said "He/she isn't here... he/she called in sick today". I thought it would have been hilarious.

CID
My parents have a lot of cool words and phrases. A word that I've overheard by my Dad growing up is "CID". I think it's hilarious... as is this poster:

milk
I don't know if anyone even comes to this site anymore, but I thought of something I could post recently. I was at Sears with my mom and dad. We were there to buy a new refrigerator . The salesman was a nice guy, but he said something that made me laugh. I had to walk away. He was showing us the features of one particular fridge and while pointing to the door said "This door can hold two 4 liter jugs of milk". I know that's not funny in itself, but it was the way he said it... as though 2 jugs of milk are a lot...haha
